Well it’s a New Year and the good news is; High Definition Music Entertainment is still here. DJ Tone Capone & DJ Bobby Diamonds are working on new material for our upcoming events. This industry changes rapidly and we do our best to stay in touch with the latest, as well as rocking out to some of the music industry’s greatest.

No matter how many time I hear “Scenario,” by the Tribe, I always get super energized when Busta Ryhmes explodes with, “Heel Up, Wheel Up, Bring Back, Come Rewind!” Words can’t really explain the adrenaline rush that overcomes my body, but I’m sure you can relate when that special song comes on and the toe tapping begins.

I’ve heard that music can soothe the savage beast. Could you imagine life without music? Movies, workouts, driving, weddings, birthdays, shopping, cleaning, eating, sports, and oh of course – dancing wouldn’t be nearly as exciting. With Valentines Day in a couple days, we wouldn’t have amazing love ballads to share with that special someone.  Music can control our moods and the way we feel.

When I hear certain songs I always pick out verses or lyrics that are relative to my life and the journey I’m on. Some songs have inspired me to overcome challenges, reach goals, and learn to love. I’ll share one of my favorites with you and feel free to leave your comments or questions below. I’m interested to see what songs bring you complete happiness, as well as love.        As summer starts to wind down, I wanted to do a quick recap of our events. We had a lot of good times and we traveled all over the tristate area for graduation parties, and a 4th of July parade.

Here is our setup at the Bancroft School in Haddonfield, NJ. As you can see in the picture, the weather was a concern for us because the forecast called for major thunderstorms in the area. Fortunately, we did not have any rain and the event went over really well for the entire school.

4th of July weekend was a blast! We had the opportunity to DJ on the Junk Monkey float in the Ewing,NJ parade. This was another event where the weather was a concern. The parade started at 10am and finished around 12:30 pm. We had tarps and ponchos on standby, as we were ready to kick off the block rockin beats!

This event went off with a “bang” and mother nature held the rain off until we got the last piece of DJ equipment packed away.

Graduation parties are always fun for us! At this particular party, they were giving out more than gifts and diplomas.

Here is our setup prior to the festivities.

During this event, the father of the graduate came up on stage to give a speech. He shared his words of happiness, in regards to his daughter’s graduation from college. After his speech, he called up his daughter’s boyfriend to share a few words, as well.

The boyfriend was so happy for his girlfriend, he popped the question! He dropped down on bended knee and proposed to his future wife.

This was a “first” for HDME. We have never witnessed a proposal at one of our events and we’re grateful to have had this opportunity.

HDME – Impact the Masses

We believe that “word of mouth” is the best way to advertise our goods & services. Therefore, we would really like to thank all of our loyal fans for passing on the “good” word, in regards to our higher standard of DJ services.

A few weeks back, a life long friend of ours, reached out to me and said that his High School Reunion Committee was looking for a DJ, last minute. The DJ that they booked wasn’t able to perform that night and they were in need of an immediate back-fill for their reunion event. So our good friend, passed on the “good” word about our DJ service.

I immediately called the chairwoman of the committee to eliminate the panic at the disco!

DJ Bobby 🐝 Fresh & myself were born in the 70’s, so we had a good idea of what the client was looking for in regards to music & request.

We really enjoyed this event because it brought us back to our childhood days when we would rock out to our Father’s music (Eric Clapton, Deep Purple, Led Zeppelin & J Geils Band).

The light effects & smoke geysers made the room groovy!

We’re very happy that the 70’s Class Reunion party went over really well and the chairwoman left us tremendous feedback.

         Impact the Masses – HDME

I really enjoy doing events at the Trenton Country Club, as it always reminds me of the movie, “Caddyshack”. Not that there’s a gopher going around pulling pranks on the golfers, but I truly enjoy the overall venue. The staff is tremendously helpful and kind to everyone! Also, the food is amazing!  Below, I’ve shared a few photos of us setting up for the festivities. The them for this party was Tiffany’s and all the decorations made the room look amazing.     I’m not really big on desserts, but how could anyone pass up this smorgasbord?    All the cakes and cookies were customized for the event, which added a personal touch!     Once we did our sound check, we started welcoming the guest with light cocktail music and top 40 hits.

  As the night progressed, we turned up the tempo and we had a chance to use the Chauvet Jr, RGB Geysers.  The new Chauvet Jr. Geysers added that extra explosive effect. It really made all the lights look great and the guest were dancing the night away.       This event was went off really well and we’re looking forward to our next party with this client (Memorial Day Weekend). It was an earlier event, so we had enough time to clean up and carve out some time to watch the Mayweather vs Pacquiao fight.  The day was packed with punches and dancing on the dance floor, as well as the boxing ring. We will chalk this up as win for one of our best clients for High Definition Music Entertainment.

DJ Bobby 🐝 Fresh called me up a few weeks back and said he wanted to add a little twist to our tag-team performance.

As I thought for a moment, what does he have in mind. As per our conversation, we talked about the traditional party giveaways, light-up foam batons, fun hats, beaded necklaces and sunglasses.

Those of you that know DJ Bobby 🐝 Fresh, understand his passion for fashion and shades.

 

DJ Bobby 🐝 Fresh said he ordered us some fun shades for our next performance and then I received the text message.

“What do you think,” he asked. My first thought was, will we be able to see with those glasses?

We will breakout the new shades at our next show and I will post pictures! If we were in professional wrestling, we would be the Killer Bees!

In the past, I have hooked up the sound system and I have heard a slight hissing sound coming from the PA speakers. After speaking with a Sound Engineer and Guitar Center’s Techs, I was advised to use XLR cables for balanced sound.

Now there are multiple was to hookup DJ equipment, but I prefer to use XLR cables over RCA cables,1/4″ jacks or the other options.

Since I have switched from the 1/4″ inputs to XLR cables, the hissing sound is gone and the sound quality has tremendously improved. Above I shared a picture that covers the technical aspect of balanced inputs. Also, I have found a lot of information on the Balanced Audio web page.

High Definition Music Entertainment provides that pro audio sound for all events!

I constantly try to think of ways to modify our setup to improve the overall performances!

We did some research on the Chauvet RGB JR Geysers and felt like these little machines packed a big punch.

I haven’t had the opportunity to use these yet, but I will give a complete review once I setup the Jr Geysers.

Trying out new headphones is always a pleasure in the DJ Industry! Audio-Technica USA!

DJ Bobby Fresh surprised me with new Audio-Technica headphones for our upcoming events.

I have to say, so far they are ten times better than my previous headphones. Each earphone rotates and makes beat matching much easier.

I got two turntables, a microphone, and “new” headphones!
